June 29th (Tennis Selections)

Two bets tonight. Sorry can’t give too much detail but in a hurry to go out. Both $100 win bets

Dominika Cibulkova ($2.18) against Vesnina

and Ai Sugiyama ($3.10) against Daniela Hantuchova

June 28th – Tennis (Loss Total – $258)

Another loss for us last night with Benjamin Becker going down in three tight sets.

Our long term selection Thomas Berdych was very clinical in making his way through to the third round in straight sets over Matheiu.

June 28th – Rugby League (Profit Total +$150)

The Brisbane Broncos have had a big question asked of them in recent weeks and have failed the test according to most. They have always been a team to struggle during origin campaigns with players in and out and their key personal playing lots of matches, however, this game really is a make or break for the Broncos and is why i feel they will be primed and ready to take on the Parramatta Eels. IASbet has a betting option called a tribet, i recommend you check it out. I have been playing with it a few times this season and think it will become a regular in my betting options. In this option we’ll take the $2.40 about the Broncos to win by more than 6.5 points for $300.  (Loss -$300)

June 27th – Weekend Horse Ratings

Was a day for the adventurous punters with plenty of winners available at Randwick and Flemington including picking every race at Flemington meaning the quaddie was there to be had and paid $4760. Incredibly their were 5 out 6 in the Big 6 meeting which paid a huge $1.3 million. Even 1% of that would be over $15,000 and shows it is worth puting one on each week even if onyl for a small percentage. We may have to look at a syndicate bet for this in the future.

Randwick
6 winners from 7 races with three top rated paying $7.80, $1.90 and $3.75
1 Triffecta at $151

Flemington
6 winners from 6 races with one top rated at $3.10
1 Triffecta at $41
Quaddie $4760

Morphettville
1 winners from 6 races with no top rated

5 out of 6 for the Big 6 which paid $1.3million
Supplementary paid $650

June 27th Tennis (Loss Total -$158)

Really keen about Benjamin Becker ($1.93) against Jurgen Melzer tonight. Becker is built for grass much like his previous namesake and will be a player to watch in years to come at Wimbledon.

Thats about it for the night. A lot of short favourites and it could be an upset night tonight. Think we’ll watch the rest with interest.

Sad sad story for us at Wimbledon last night with Maria Sharapova going down in three sets and also Tipsarevic also losing in four. Loss -$400

June 26th (Tennis Results and Selections)

We only have one bet tonight
Mardy Fish vs Janko Tipsarevic is an interesting prospect with both players evenly matched. This match should be even money but Tipsarevic represents excellent value at $2.42 so we’ll go with him.

Also Thomas Berdych Jo Wilfred Tsonga and Maria Sharapova are set to take the court again for their second round matches against Matheiu, Bolleli and Dulko respectfully.

June 25th – Tennis (Profit +$242)

Firstly our overall selection Thomas Berdych got through in straight sets.

As expected we had winning results with our three selections last night with Kunitsyn ($2.32), Petzschner ($1.72) and Errani ($1.62) all winning comfortably. Unfortunately our 2 carryover bets on Cornet and Paval both lost in last set deciders. Profit for the night still was $67 so we can’t complain too much.

June 24th (Tennis Results and Selections)

Igor Kunitsyn looks way over the odds at $2.32 for a player ranked 39 with good grass experience against Grigor Dimitrov ranked a massive 342. Although Dimitrov has been in ok form of late he does not deserve to be so short.

In a match built for two people who clearly don’t know how to play on grass i have to swing towards Sara Errani who has at least attepmted to play a number of grass court tournmanets last year whereas Stephanie Dubois has only played one match on grass since Wimbledon last year. Although the $1.62 is a a little skinny i think it is still a safe bet.

Phillip Petschner ($1.72) has put in some really good performances of late against some quality opponents but gets his chance to advance to the second round with a very weak opponent in Rajeev Ram. the value is clearly with Petschner who i would declare as the bet of the night.

That will do us tonight. We also still have bets pending on Pavel and cornet as well.

June 23rd – Tennis (Profit Total +$175)

Both Sharapova ($14) and Tsonga ($50) got through their first round matches without any dramas

Nicholas Almagro ($1.77) lost the first 2 sets in tiebreakers but couragously fought on to eventually take the match in 5. Timea Bacsinszky ($2.26) also won a tight match 8-6 in the 5th set. Alize Cornet ($2.50) is in a third set struggle after looking comfortable in the first set she got crunched in the 2nd and is down 4-2 in the 3rd. Michael Yani ($2.32) unfortunatly never got his game together and went down in straight sets. (Profit from last nights completed matches +$103)

June 22nd (Tennis Wimbledon Overall Selections)

I am really impressed with the lead-up Maria Sharapova had in coming to Wimbledon where she has won before. I think the $14 on offer on Betfair won’t be around for long and we will put $300 on board with the thought of laying it off a little later in the tournament

Hard to really pick a winner in the mens as i think Roger Federer is just a little short. Had Rafael Nadal been there you would have got $3.00 and i would have said get all over it but with Nadal not there you just don’t know who is going to hit form at the right time. Federer will be a little emotionally drained after finally completing the final chapter in his Grand Slam trohpy cabinet winning at Rolland Garros recently. If you want some value i suggest Jo Wilfred Tsonga who was unltra impressive at the French Open where he shouldn’t be competitive and will love the faster surface (Only his speed is of concern). I think andy Murray is very vulnerable and worth laying at $4.10. for an absolute smokie i suggest Tomas Berdych who is built to play on grass with a fantastic talent that has really yet to blossom. at $320 if he gets through to the second week we could claim some big cash.

So on to the bets. We’ll have $100 on Tsonga at $48 and $50 on Berdych at $320 and stay tuned to find out when we lay them off.

As always there is plenty of money available during the early rounds and we have a couple of great best early on.
