August 2nd – Horse Racing (Running Total +$3327)
A bit of a disappointing day for us as i really thought that we run some unlucky placings today and had a couple of “good things” get blocked for runs at important times. Anyways thats racing and here is the review.
VOICE COACH (5% )($2.12/$1.21) got us off to a flyer with an impressive win in the first race of the day. The next few races saw some dispointing runs from good chances in Aultone (3%)and Speedy Natalie(3%) who were all specked in the betting and failed to fire a shot. Followed by PHILDA (5%) who was the first of the hard luck stories on the day when severely blocked for a run after given the perfect ride which hurt more being a 5% bet.
We then went to Doomben for the next couple and were very unlucky with KRYPELON (3%)(2.60/1.50) and ON THE LEATHER(2%) (4.50/1.70) both looking the winner at some stages before eventually running a pair of seconds.
CANDLE (3%)($2.25/$1.41) got us back on the winning track with a strong win at Morphettville.
Then a few more placings to O’LONHRO (3%)($2.90/$1.50) and FIFTH AVENUE LADY (1%)($6.20/$1.80) and some more ordinary runs from Olonana (1%), The Invincible One (2%) and Bulleton (1%). Then we headed to Belmont where is was very confident of the chances of ZILVAIN(5%) who could have easily gone around again after being stuck in a box the entire way down the straight when the jockey appeared to have a lot of horse underneath him but alas another hard luck story for the day. Kereign went round at $20+ and ran accordingly before GOLDEN HEART(5%)($2.20/$1.32) finished the day as we started with a strong victory.
