August 22nd – Weekend Ratings Review
Well a mixed day for punters with a few of the heavily backed horses winning but a lot of rough results surrounding them. Definately a day to prove you need to limit selcetions and not feel you have to bet on every race! I didn’t get near the Big 6 this week but would like to give an honourable mention to one of our subscribers who actually backed his own selections and had 5 from 5 going into the last leg. In the end his selections finished 2nd and 4th with Melito going down by less than a head costing him $35,000. OUCH! I am so keen to get heavily involved in the Big 6’s in the coming weeks and would suggest you do to! We are looking at starting a Big 6 syndicate to allow us to cover more horses so let me know if you are keen.
Melbourne was once again the scene for our most succesful ratings area with 6 winners including 5 Top raters (In fact the first 4 races went to Top raters). There is also a case to answer that the Early Mail found he 3rd rated horse in Secret Flyer as the top selection so you could have easily got 6 top raters.
