Results

Lance Franklin and Jonathon Brown both kicked the most goals in their respective games. Dane Swan continues his good run for us getting the Most Disposals. Unfortunately the others went close but couldn’t quite get the job done.

A great profit of +$280 on the weekend is nothing to sniff at.

August 11th – AFL (Running Total +$98)

We got a few and missed a few again on the weekend.

BRENDAN FEVOLA looked sluggish but still always looked the winner kicking 4 goals and 3 behinds while SAM MITCHELL dominated the ball for the Hawks even though they went down to the Saints.

Lance Franklin had a tooth knocked out early and failed to get a goal, Jason Akermanis failed to continue his winning form and Dane Swan fell 4 disposals short.

Profit for the weekend +$5

August 7th – AFL (Running Total +$93)

In the AFL tonight we see the Geelong Cats take on the Carlton Blues and there are a couple of options to look at here as the Cats, who have been winning but only by small margins, see a couple of injuries weaken their side and bring the blues right into contention. I think this game is going to be very tight and the TRI BET option at both SportsBet and SportsTAB look tasty.

$100 on Either team to win by less than 15.5pts paying $3.50 (SportsBet) or $3.30 (SportsTAB)

I also think our bet on Brendan Fevola at $2.65 is now looking an absolute special. If you haven’t already backed him then I suggest getting on board.

Result

Well we tipped Carlton to be a tough game for Geelong and we couldn’t be more right with the Blues totally dominating the cats. We did miss out on the TRI bet though with them winning by more than 15.5 points. However, we did collect with Brendan Fevola kicking the most goals for a +$65 collect for the night.

August 6th – AFL (Running Total +$28)

$100 on DANE SWAN Most disposals group A(Ball Magnet) $2.80 (I can’t believe he starts at these prices) Almost a certainty for the brownlow.

$100 on BRENDAN FEVOLA Most Goals $2.50  ( He is due)

$50 on JASON AKERMANIS Most Goals $5 ( He seems to be amoungst them in recent weeks against poor

opposition)

$100 on LANCE FRANKLIN Most Goals $2.80 ( Against a depleted St Kilda)

$50 on SAM MITCHELL Most Disposals $3.10 should win a stack of ball as well against St Kilda in a must win for the Hawks.

July 30th – AFL (Running Total +$28)

Here are this weekends special bets for the AFL

Most disposals in their group

$50 on DANE SWAN (Collingwood vs Brisbane)

$2.60 (TAB) $2.75 (SportsBet)

$100 on GARY ABLETT (Geelong vs Adelaide)

$2.80 (TAB) $2.75 (SportsBet)

$100 on HEATH SCOTLAND (Carlton vs North Melbourne)

$3.60 (TAB) (SportsBet offering a different group paying $9.00, that is not our bet)

Most Goals in their respective matches:

$100 on BRENDAN FEVOLA (Carlton vs North Melbourne)

$2.00 (TAB) $2.00 (SportsBet)

$50 on BRAD JOHNSON (Western Bulldogs vs Fremantle)

$4.60 (TAB) $5.00 (SportsBet)

$20 on JESSIE WHITE (Sydney vs St Kilda)

$11.00 (TAB)  $11.00 (SportsBet)

Only 2 winners but probably the ones that count. DANE SWAN tied for the lead so that was a win and JESSIE WHITE at $11 got over the line for us for a nice return. Fevola was the only one of the others that really got close kcik a few late goals and infact had the shot right in front and chipped over the top to give his team mate an easier goal and the most goals for the night.

Loss of $62.50 on the weekend

A Late special bet on the AFL today:

$50 at $3.25 (SportsBet)  No good!

Adelaide Crows vs Port Adelaide Power

July 23rd – AFL (Running Total +$140.50)

No match bets this weekend as we look to fine-tune the tipping with as little risk as we’d like: it’s AFL Derby Weekend which means any result can and will happen, so good luck in your own tipping for that one.

However, we’ve got the following special AFL bets which look to be real winners:

Most disposals in their group

$50 on DANE SWAN (Collingwood vs Carlton)

$3.00 (TAB) $3.25 (SportsBet)   WINNER! (38 disposals)

$50 on PAUL CHAPMAN (Geelong vs Hawthorn) No Good

$3.00 (TAB) (SportsBet not available at time of post) WINNER!! (5 Goals)

Wrap Up

So wins to REIDWOLT ($3.00), FRANKLIN ($3.00) and DANE SWAN ($3.25) give us a profit of $162.50

July 19th – AFL Results – Running Tally -$22.

The multibet didn’t get up thanks to an inspired effort by Hawthorn to beat Collingwood.  Loss -$100.

The Brisbane Lions gave us heart palpitations throughout a quiet game vs Fremantle where pouring rain made it a scrappy match.  The TopPunter team got on the UNDERS for match points after seeing the pre-match rain and forecast for more during.  The upcoming live SMS service would have been handy for willing punters.   The Lions struggled for awhile before overrunning Freo in the final quarter and won us $78.

Overall down -$22.

July 17th AFL Tips

We’re starting our AFL tips for the first week thanks to our guest expert tipster.   The AFL is a competition where each week there are some real certainties but some are so short it’s just not worth it unless you’re throwing them into a multi or accumulator.

The picks this week:

Essendon vs Western Bulldogs ($1.42)

Geelong ($1.06) vs Melbourne

Fremantle vs Brisbane ($1.39)

Collingwood ($1.45) vs Hawthorn

Carlton ($1.30) vs Sydney

We’ll take the Bulldogs, Brisbane, Collingwood and Carlton in a $100 multi paying $3.72.  Unfortunately Betfair doesn’t let you take multis on AFL so we’ll take either IASBet and Sportsbet are paying around $3.2 for the multi which is what we’re after.  $100 on at $3.2.  Check out the Sportsbet offer below for a free $50 bet and 10% better odds on your multibet!

Individually, the best bet is for the Brisbane Lions as Fremantle were just horrific last match.  $200 on at$1.39 at Betfair.
