July 27th – PGA and European Tour Preview

Will Irish eyes be smiling on the European Tour on Sunday at the conclusion of the Irish Open at the Killarney Golf and Fishing Club? That is the question many are asking as Irishman RORY McILROY ($6.00), GRAEME McDOWELL ($17.00), PADRAIG HARRINGTON ($19.00) and DARREN CLARKE ($26.00) all sit high up in the betting markets at the start of the tournament. With conditions expected to be fairly mild with maybe some light drizzle only serving to soften the greens I am expecting scoring to be very high and that plays right in the hands of US Open champ Rory McIlroy. Looking through the field you really struggle to find any consistent birdie makers but would have to consider DANNY WILLET ($51.00) a RICHARD FINCH ($51.00) chance of being up there if their heads are screwed on right. The big smokie that I think is worth a nudge this week is ROSS McGOWAN ($151.00) and those reaching through the form guide would no doubt be asking why?? The reason is the McGowan for the past few years has had only a handful of good results and only one “purple patch” at the end of 2009 where he recorded a win, 2nd and 3rd in the space of a few tournaments. Each time that happened the scoring was a birdie fest and even in 2010 when he finally put a round together it was when he was able to shoot better than 10 under. Don’t sell your house for it but I think he’s worth a couple of bucks. In fact for those who are of the smarter breed with Betfair accounts you would be laughing at the odds of McGowan who is a massive $400.00 giving you the perfect chance to have a few dollars on him and if he starts well you can lay the bet back off again with ease knowing you are in a win win situation.

The PGA Tour hosts the Greenbrier Classic in West Virginia this week and organisers have a little surprise for those who expected this to also be a birdie fest. Actually its not that dramatic but they have endeavoured to make scoring a little tougher with a few additions to the course but I still think the winner will shoot over 10 under comfortably. For that reason I’m sticking BRANDT SNEDEKER ($29.00) in as my top pick for the week as he loves this style of course where you don’t need to bomb the ball a mile down the fairway. SERGIO GARCIA ($19.00) gets another mention with a 2011 season that seems to improve with every week. He surely can’t be too far away from recording his first win. Outside of that it is pretty slim pickings with a number of players showing some potential for a good week but I’m not really that confident to stick my neck out on any of them.

Our bets this week are:

GRAEME McDOWELL to beat Ross Fischer at $1.80 (Sports Managed Fund 10% Bet)

SERGIO GARCIA to beat Phil Mickelson at $2.13 (Sports Managed Fund 5% Bet)

BRANDT SNEDEKER to win his group (Spencer Levin, Gary Woodland, Brendon de Jonge, Andres Romero) at $4.00 (Sports Managed Fund 5% Bet)

July 20th – PGA and European Tour Preview

Another weekend is on its way and the golfing continues in the wake of The Open Championship won by the veteran Darren Clarke in a solid display of golf in horrible conditions. There were 2 real surprise packets in the tournament in Dustin Johnson and Phil Mickelson who really showed their fighting qualities when the going got tough. For that reason DUSTIN JOHNSON ($8.50) looks really tough to beat in this week’s Nordea Masters (Scandinavian Masters). Not only is he well in form now but this track is long and fast and the big guys will be bombing it a long way in front of those who like to just keep it on the short grass. BUBBA WATSON ($17.00) is another who gets the ball out there off the tee and showed signs of an improved game last weekend suggesting he could be right in this.

Of the local hopes FREDRIK ANDERSSON HED ($31.00) has been mixing his form this year but looks much more at home on a course where he can make some birdies rather than grinding his way through. HENRIK STENSON ($17.000 is another who is a huge chance of being in the running come Sunday. Was showing signs of returning to form before an average performance at Sandwich last weekend.

The PGA Tour hosts the Canadian Open and it is a much tougher prospect. This tournament has often thrown up a smokie who comes out of the clouds to take the cash making life much tougher to find a winner her. However, a golfer I have followed with some interest this year is RYAN MOORE ($23.00) as he is really playing some solid golf. When delving a little deeper I found that Moore put in a great performance to finish 5th in the Canadian Open in 2005 (The last time the tournament was held at this course). Add to that the fact he’s almost a local here and he screams out as the top pick. The other golfer who performed well here in 2005 and although not in as good form this year could easily turn things around is BEN CRANE ($61.00). Crane also grew up in the area so his odds may be worth having a nibble at.

Our bets this week are:

FREDRIK ANDERSSON HED to beat Johan Edfors at $1.90

(Sports Managed Fund 10% Bet)

DUSTIN JOHNSON to beat Robert Karlsson at $1.80

(Sports Managed Fund 5% Bet)

RYAN MOORE to beat Hunter Mahan at $1.87

(Sports Managed Fund 10% Bet)

BEN CRANE to beat win his group (Bryce Moulder, Brian Gay, Paul Casey) at $3.90 (Sports Managed Fund 5% Bet)

July 13th – The Open Championship Preview

My favourite tournament and major of the year is on our doorstep with The Open Championship set to kick off tomorrow afternoon at the normally extremely tough and exposed Royal St Georges Golf Club. The last couple of times this course has hosted the major players have walked away bruised and battered and struggling to make par. In fact the past 2 times it was played (1985 & 2003) only 1 man has broken par (Ben Curtis -1 in 2003). The course designers have made a few changes this year and whilst the layout is basically the same with many blind tee shots, sloping fairways and a plethora of bunkers the big difference is the knee high rough that was waiting to gobble up your ball if you ventured off the short grass has been cut to a more manageable level. That grass used to make life a nightmare for anyone who strayed slightly and often was a case of having to chip out sideways.

This year there are a number of golfers in great form making it really difficult to find a standout winner. Most people will have their favourites depending on if you are a regular punter to the golf tours or just someone who bets when the big majors are on. RORY McILROY ($8.70) goes in an extremely short favourite following his record breaking win in the US Open where he dominated the field for all 4 days. No doubt he is playing well and has so much talent he could adapt to any conditions but I still have question marks on him during these sea side links courses. I believe he over thinks things and is much more at home when conditions are perfect and you are throwing darts at the pin making plenty of birdies. LUKE DONALD ($12.00) has had a Tiger Woods like year with a stack of wins on the PGA and European Tours including a win last weekend putting him right in the mix. His accuracy off the tee will be a huge asset around this course where fairways and greens are more important than distance off the tee. LEE WESTWOOD ($12.00) makes up the trio of favourites and again I’m leaning on the side of thanks but no thanks like I am with McIlroy. The difference here is Westwood does have a game that suits the windy conditions and he does step up when a major is on the table. My issue again is his driver which can get the wobbles when the pressure is really applied.

I am always going to keep MARTIN KAYMER ($26.00) pretty close on my picks as the guy has supreme talent and has just been going through some swing changes since he dominated the game back in early 2010. A top 5 finish last start suggests he may be back in the groove and he has always played well on these links courses. GRAEME McDOWELL ($29.00) is another who loves the links courses and was brought up in windy conditions in Northern Ireland. Proved his mettle with a win at Augusta National when the wind blew a gale and has been in strong form this year and ready to win. SERGIO GARCIA ($31.00) is trying to sneak under the radar as he is steadily making his return to the top of the golfing game. The big problem for Sergio will be the big emphasis on the passing of fellow Spaniard Seve Ballesteros earlier this year as he won the Open Championship 3 times during his immaculate career. There will be many who draw the line between the 2 and the pressure may just be too much for him to handle.

Obviously those I have reviewed above are in the favoured selections with betting which I know many of you like to know whether to back or lay the top picks. For those who like to get on something with a bit more value I think conditions suit JUSTIN ROSE ($51.00) who is a proven wind player and is at home on the links courses. Not playing so well this year but if he gets off to a start he could really shake things up. NICHOLAS COLSAERTS ($151.00) has really impressed me this year with some great results against the world’s best golfers. Is one of the games big hitters which isn’t so suitable here but he is very accurate and if he has it under control he could be a major upset for the crown. Finally I am going with BRIAN DAVIS ($201.00) as my final selection and I haven’t really got a good reason why. An Englishman that spends all of his time on the PGA Tour doesn’t really read that well but I have always found he digs in when conditions are tough (Doesn’t happen much on the PGA Tour). An absolute smokie I know but worth a couple of dollars.

Our bets this week are:

JUSTIN ROSE to beat Retief Goosen at $1.91 (Sports Managed Fund 10% Bet)

CHARL SCHWARTZEL to beat Jason Day at $1.91 (Sports Managed Fund 10% Bet)

ROBERT KARLSSON to beat Freddie Jacobson at $1.87 (Sports Managed Fund 5% Bet)

June 15th – US Open Golf Preview

The 2nd Golf Major of the year is the US Open played at the refurbished Congressional Country Club in Maryland and the world’s best golfers are going to have their hands full. The altering of some tee locations and angles has meant that bunkers will come massively into to play and I think the winner will struggle to break par over the 4 days. There will be very little familiarity for those who contested the 1997 US Open here and it should come down to a purist game of the best golfer over the 4 days will win. The loss of Tiger Woods through injury is no doubt a shame but the world’s best golfers are all in form and I believe will be the ones gunning for the title on Sunday. I will change my review style this time round describing the main hopes for the title along with my prediction about their chances for the major. I have also thrown in my smokie at the end as well as I know some of you love following them.

LUKE DONALD ($15.00)–Hitting the ball better than anyone this year and rightly deserves his Number 1 ranking at the moment. Has a great short game which will be an asset here. Top 10 Chance

PHIL MICKELSON ($16.00) – I think this course suits him if he can keep his driver under control when he needs it. He didn’t quite come on 2 weeks ago which does worry me but should bounce back here. Top 25

MARTIN KAYMER ($31.00) The German has revamped a large chunk of his game in 2011 and has started to show signs he has it back in the swing. Has nerves of steel which is a necessity here. My Top Selection.

LEE WESTWOOD ($12.00) – Favourite for the tournament and well backed after winning and having 2 other top 10’s in his last 3 starts. I’ll cop plenty of flack but for me he still doesn’t have the mind game to win a US Open where every inch of your game is tested. Wouldn’t surprise to see him miss the cut.

STEVE STRICKER ($23.00) – A last start winner. Worst finish 33rd this year which features 8 out of 10 finishes inside the Top 20. If my heart says Kaymer my head says Stricker. Definite contender for the title.

ZACH JOHNSON ($81.00) – My roughie selection. Johnson has been solid in recent weeks without setting the world on fire. He has won a major before and is so consistent from tee to green even though his length is far behind the big bombers on the tour.

Our bets this week are:

MARTIN KAYMER to beat Graeme McDowell at $1.85 (Sports Managed Fund 10% Bet)

STEVE STRICKER to beat Hunter Mahan at $1.90 (Sports Managed Fund 10% Bet)

LUKE DONALD to beat Lee Westwood at $1.90 (Sports Managed Fund 5% Bet)

JOHN SENDEN to beat Ben Crane at $1.90 (Sports Managed Fund 5% Bet)

May 26th – PGA Tour (Byron Nelson Championship)

I’ve missed the kickoff in the European Tour this weekend which is a big disappointment as I am a huge fan of the BMW Championship which is held at the great Wentworth Golf Club layout. They are playing on the newly refurbished West Course this year which I don’t know much about so I might watch the action for the first round or two and see if something pops up over the weekend.

The PGA Tour is also hosting one of my favourite events in the Byron Nelson Championship in Texas. The reason I love this tournament as It has often unearthed a new talent and they are usually the young kid who doesn’t mind giving the ball a good whack. Last year’s winner JASON DAY ($16.00) was a perfect example of that and showed no fear throughout the week (until a slight hiccup in the final few holes when victory was on the cards). Low scoring is a definite and I have always found those who are willing to take chances and get the ball right out there off the tee will prosper here. My top pick this week goes to CHARLEY HOFFMAN ($34.00) who is one of the more consistent golfers on the PGA Tour without really scoring many wins. Charley is 25th in driving distance and 13th in birdie average which is a perfect recipe for this course. Missed the cut here last year when he wasn’t playing as well but a return to Texas will get the big guy firing.  This could be the week SERGIO GARCIA ($29.00) cracks back into the winners circle after some really positive signs in 2011 so far. He has won this event when he was back in his prime (2004) so that has to go in his favour. For my final selection I’m going outside the big hitting ranks with a guy who is just playing really solid lately in JOHN SENDEN ($41.00). Senden is having a great year to date and is hitting his irons a pure as anyone on tour. He doesn’t have the length of the tee as most others but knows how to get around the course.

Tempted to give ANTHONY KIM ($67.00) a wrap as he comes back to his home course which should also suit him massively but he just isn’t swing very well at all. The guy has the game and just needs to find it. Maybe this week is the week it all comes together back in a familiar environment. He is a loss to the game when he isn’t on top of it.

Our bets this week are:

DUSTIN JOHNSON to beat Nick Watney at $2.00 (5% Bet)

JOHN SENDEN to beat Scott Verplank at $1.90 (10% Bet)

TOMMY GAINEY to beat Greg Chalmers at $1.90 (5% Bet)

May 19th – PGA and European Tour Reviews

Big week of golf ahead of us and a lot to get through. Depending on how the events progress we may have more bets on the European Tour this weekend as they are in Spain for the World Match Play Championship. This events sees round robin matches on the first couple of days with the finals over the weekend. It’s hard to stand out a winner from the start but I do know last time they played at this course in 2009 the event was dominated by the big hitters of the European Tour (even though eventual winner Ross Fisher isn’t one of them). Obviously that brings ALAVARO QUIROS ($17.00), RORY McILROY ($9.00), CHARL SCHWARTZEL ($15.00) and MARTIN KAYMER ($9.00) right to the front of my mind. Of the 3 I’d probably lean towards McIlroy as the best option as I feel he’s hitting the ball a bit better than the other 2. Quiros has been a bit inconsistent in recent weeks, whilst Kaymer has shown signs of recovery from a swing change in recent times.

The PGA Tour host the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial and it is always a birdie fest. Length off the tee isn’t as important as accuracy this time round with a solid iron game giving you plenty of chances to sink birdies. Not much of a “testing” tournament but more one for the crowd. I like the chances of the old timer JIM FURYK ($29.00) who comes into the tournament without a win in 2011, a rare sight for the American. He is a super consistent golfer and can sometimes be hard to find in the winner’s circle with a string of runner-ups but he does know how to manage a course, stay out of danger and therefore make birdies. BRIAN GAY ($34.00) wasn’t a surprise to find higher up the bookie board this week as he is often a strong chance when the courses get a little easier. Has been sinking plenty of birdies in the past couple of weeks and should be right on his game here. I start to look out in the smokies now and can’t go past BRIAN DAVIS ($67.00) who is super solid off the tees and looks a good bet to make the Top 25 this week. Last pick goes to DAVID TOMS ($34.00) who is another who stripes it off the tee and is in good form with a high finish at the Players Championship last weekend.

Our bets this week are:

RORY McILROY to finish top in his group (McIlroy, Goosen and Colsaerts) at $2.10 (Sports Managed Fund 10% Bet)

CHARL SCHWARTZEL to finish top in his group (Schwartzel, Jimeniz and Edfors) at $2.10 (Sports Managed Fund 5% Bet)

JOHN SENDEN to beat Sean O’Hair at $1.90 (Sports Managed Fund 5% Bet)

BRIAN DAVIS to beat Davis Love at $1.93 (Sports Managed Fund 10% Bet)

May 12th – PGA Tour (Players Championship)

PGA Tour is the feature this week with the Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass. This event is held in very high regard by the players and is often referred to as the 5th major. Hard tournament to pick though as its often been won by a player with no form coming into the event. I still believe that if you are playing well and have a good record at the course you are going to be a strong chance during the week.

ADAM SCOTT ($34.00) stands out as a strong chance at decent odds this week. Scott won the tournament back in 2004 when he was on top of the world rising as high as Number 3 in the World Rankings. He has really started to show some of the signs of that form and most of it is because of his conversion to the broomstick putter. The funny thing is Scott’s game never really went away as badly as some golfers have but he was putting atrociously every time her got in contention for a title. It’s hard for me to come up with new reasons to write about LUKE DONALD ($15.00) but the truth is the guy is on fire. He has been unstoppable this year and you would have to think he’ll compete at a high level again this weekend after having a freshen up last week. BEN CRANE ($31.00) has been going about his business in 2011 with a strong of high finishes without capturing the major prize or eye of many tipsters. It’s no surprise to see the bookies with a fairly tight leash on him this week with 3 finishes inside the top 6 in the past 3 years at this event.

Hard to really find another standout here with Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson under injury clouds and in erratic form.

Our bets this week are:

ADAM SCOTT to beat Hunter Mahan at $1.85 (10% Bet)

BEN CRANE to beat Matt Kuchar at $2.05 (5% Bet)

NICK WATNEY to beat Dustin Johnson at $1.90 (10% Bet)

BUBBA WATSON to beat Ricky Fowler at $1.85 (5% Bet)

April 27th – PGA and European Tour Review

To this week’s event and I am really struggling to find information again for the European Tour with the Ballantine’s Championship moving to a new venue at Blackstone Golf Club in Icheon, South Korea. Y.E.YANG ($21.00) has to be considered a strong chance along with new World Number 1 LEE WESTWOOD ($7.00) due to their hot form. Outside of that I have made my other Head to head selection based on the fact that SportsBet had local golfer SEUNG-YUL NOH ($34.00) taking on RAFAEL CABRERA-BELLO ($34.00). The form line reads as lopsided as any I’ve seen with Noh struggling to make a cut in the past 3 months whilst Cabrera-Bello has been on a hot streak not missing a cut in his 9 events this year (including 3 top 10’s and 3 more top 20’s).

The PGA Tour is hosting the Zurich Classic of New Orleans and it is a really tough week for the guys preparing for the Players Championship (Often referred to as the 5th major) the week after. This course is tight and requires supreme accuracy off the tee. I’m not surprised by the withdrawal of Tiger Woods saying he has strained his knee and achilles, however, I think the answer may lie more with the fact that he is still struggling to keep the ball in the fairway and this track doesn’t suit him at all. Certainly a bit of a worry for all his fans out there that he is lacking that kind of confidence coming into such a big tournament the following week. I’m going to left field for my top pick this week in NICK O’HERN ($67.00) who is really showing signs that his thumb injury that hampered his career is in the past and this is the course that can bring him back to the winners circle. LUKE DONALD ($11.00) is an obvious pick as a contender with his hot streak continuing to impress with every week that passes. He’s just above average off the tee but has been improving that with each week so I wouldn’t think the tight fairways will slow him down. JOHN SENDEN ($51.00) is another Aussie who has to be considered a contender with his accuracy off the tee. Finally GRAEME McDOWELL ($34.00) is going from my bet against to bet with pile after showing some signs last week that he may be on the improve. He disappointed on the weekend with a pair of 74’s but his accuracy off the tee will make him a certainty to make the cut and good chance to hit some form before the Players.

Our bets this week are:

RAFEAL CABRERA-BELLO to beat Seung-Yul Noh at $1.85 (10% Bet)

LEE WESTWOOD to beat Dustin Johnson at $1.77 (10% Bet)

NICK O’HERN to finish in the Top 25 at the Zurich Classic at $3.25 (5% Bet)

JOHN SENDEN to beat Chris Couch at $1.90 (Sports Managed Fund 10% Bet)

April 20th – PGA and European Tour Golf

Another good week in the golf and we are charging along through April with our 2 10% selections both winning last weekend.

This weekend the European Tour hosts the China Open and it is a really tough form guide to read as this is a brand new course for this event. Some of the Chinese locals have played here before but the study work for that is few and far between. For the look of the course I think scoring will be very difficult and I think you have to look towards your good iron players for a winner. That said it’s not hard to work out that Y.E. YANG ($13.00) deserves to be the red hot favourite. He has really been playing outstandingly recently and can follow it up here without question. JEEV MILKHA SINGH ($51.00) is one we have followed in the past for good success, however, he went off the boil for a while there. I watched a lot of him last week at the Malaysian Masters and think he looked to be back in the groove. His swing looked clean and it was his putter that let him down in a poor final round. WEN-CHONG LIANG ($34.00) was one who I did find with form at this track winning a few years ago. However, even though this is his right around the corner from where he lives I really don’t like the way he is hitting the ball at the moment. He’s showing very little confidence and I have no problems opposing him at the moment. I’ve been waiting for a little while to start following talented youngster GARETH MAYBIN ($81.00) again and I think this may be the time to start. He’s started to show signs of the form that caught my eye 2 years ago and a course layout like this should suit him down to the ground. If he can keep the blow out score that seems to find his way on his card every weekend then he could be a real contender here.

We have a similar prospect over the water in the PGA Tour this week with The Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links known as another ball strikers course. Length off the tee is of little concern here and it really bring a number of golfers into play. I’ll focus on a few here but you could easily post a case for a number of golfers in the field. BRANDT SNEDEKER ($34.00) gets my top spot again after another solid week last week when he probably should have won had his putter not gone cold on the final day. The fact was it wasn’t that he putted that poorly he just had a few balls not do what they should have (Sounds strange but a number of times the commentators were baffled how his ball managed to turn up hill??). Regardless he is in stunning form here and does hit a very clean ball so should be suited. JIM FURYK ($17.00) is the defending champion here and although struggling for form earlier in the season he looks to have recovered that with a Top 10 finish last start. A return to a course where he has had a pile of Top 5 finishes and a win you would expect him to be right up on the leaderboard. How can you argue with the hot favourite LUKE DONALD ($10.00) who is getting down into Tiger Woods like odds after a hot streak that has been lasting for a long time. Hasn’t been outside the Top 10 in his past 4 starts and has a couple of high placed finishes at this event in recent years. Finally MATT KUCHER ($17.00) deserves his spot up near the top of the betting with another super consistent year once again. He is one of the most accurate iron players due to his lack of distance off the tee and will no doubt be figuring in the finish somewhere.

**Jason Day or Aaron Baddeley didn’t make the preview, however, I am opposing Day due to the lack of length in this course. One of Day’s biggest assets is his distance off the tee and I think he will struggle just relying on his iron play. Likewise I didn’t review the chances of Stewart Cink or Graeme McDowell, however, McDowell has been hitting it like a busted…. At the moment and I think Cink has been solid enough to get past him.

Our bets this week are:

GARETH MAYBIN to finish in the Top 25 in the China Open at $3.75 (Sports Managed Fund 5% Bet)

ALEXANDER NOREN to beat Wen-Chong Liang at $1.90 (10% Bet)

JEEV MILKHA SINGH to beat Danny Willet at $1.90 (5% Bet)

AARON BADDELEY to beat Jason Day at $1.90 (5% Bet)

STEWART CINK to beat Graeme McDowell at $1.90 (10% Bet)

April 13th – PGA Tour Valero Texas Open

The US Masters lived up to all my expectations and more with a thrilling end on Sunday that saw 7 different players hold the lead for one time or another. One of the players included TIGER WOODS who looked like he was going to run away with the event after a superb opening nine that saw him playing some of his best golf. The interesting thing I found was an interview with Tiger after Round 3 where he said he felt like he was hitting the ball really well but had no confidence over the putts. That showed on the back nine when he missed 2 putts from 3 feet and 3 putted after having a relatively easy birdie putt. In the end one of TopPunters favourites CHARL SCHWARTZEL came away with the goods with 4 birdies in the final 4 holes to take the prize away from JASON DAY and ADAM SCOTT. Jason Day proved he is going to be a golfer to follow showing steely nerves in the toughest of conditions. We only just fell short of a clean sweep with our golf bets with 3 from our 4 selections getting up. The only fail was picking Geoff Ogilvy to finish as the Top Australian and we probably have every right to feel hard done by after he finished 4th but was out pipped by Scott and Day who both ran 2nd.

To this weeks PGA Tour event in Texas for the Valero Texas Open. It is quite tough to be really confident at the tournament this year as its only the 2nd year the Valero Texas Open has been held at TPC San Antonio. There are definitely some golfers who play better in these conditions though and you get a feel for some who will struggle to back up from Sundays emotional finish. ADAM SCOTT ($12.00) has been installed as favourite after finally finding some form with the flat stick. For years many of the top golfers have said Scott is on the verge of something great only to find him crumble on the greens. He has changed to a broomstick putter and looked super confident on the weekend and I think will have a super 2011. The only issue I have is it has to be so hard to back up after Sunday and I cant back him with any confidence here at that price (Especially after we mentioned him in our preview last week at $71!). For the same reason I cant really jump on GEOFF OGILVY ($14.00) and MARTIN LAIRD ($17.00) even though I think they are both hitting the ball really well at the moment.

I think you are much better off looking at golfers who finished well on Sunday and will be full of confidence coming into this weekend. BRANDT SNEDEKER ($34.00) is my first pick after I thought he should’ve finished even higher than his 15th in the Masters. Has been playing well this season and appears to have turned a corner. JJ HENRY ($41.00) has been really solid this year and a winner doesn’t appear to be too far around the corner. Last year hitting the ball straight was a much bigger advantage than length off the tee so JOHN SENDEN ($41.00) and SCOTT VERPLANK ($34.00) have to come into consideration for Top 10 contenders.

Our bets this week are:

ANTHONY KIM to beat JB Holmes at $1.90 (5% Bet)

JOHN SENDEN to beat Mark Leishman at $1.90 (10% Bet)

SCOTT VERPLANK to beat Jimmy Walker at $1.87 (10% Bet)
