Weekend Review
Another great weekend for us that starting with both our selections on Friday night at Mooney Valley winning at very nice odds. Our Early Mail for Saturday continued the good run with 2 more winners from our 4 selections giving us another 17% increase for the weekend on racing alone.
In the golf the PGA TOUR Bob Hope Classic we only eneded up with one head to head bet which saw Brian Gay beat Charles Howell III by 2 shots.
In the European Tour overnight we had a massive result with Martin Kaymer winning the Abu Dhabi Championship while our head to head bets ended with 1 win, 1 loss and a tie. All up our Sports fund had a whopping 31% increase!!
In the NFL our tip for the New York Jets to win the Super Bowl at $50 last weekend is looking good to take it all the way this week. The Jets got off to a flyer in the first half and did lead 17-3 at one stage before a late Indianapolis Colts fight back saw the deficit reduced to 17-14 at half time. I know a lot of you have chosen various ways to lay off your bet so I wish you all luck in what you have done.
Weekend Sports Results
We had an up and down weekend where we saw very little luck go our way.
In the Cricket we had backed UMAR AKMAL to be the top scorer for Pakistan for the series. He lead going in the final test from Salmon Butt but when Butt ran Akmal out inth e first innings for 8 whilst he went on to score a 100 our money was gone.
In the golf we got 1 out 3 head to head matches in Europe with DARREN CLARKE the only winner. Meanwhile on the PGA Tour we had more bad luck when we looked certain to clean sweep our 3 head to head bets till RORY SABBATINI 3 over in the final round against Angel Cabrera’s 2 under to fall short by 1 shot. ROBERT ALLENBY and STUART CINK won their head to head matches to keep the money coming in. However, the biggest tragedy was our Big 7 against the field bet which looked certain to collect but in the end fell just short with RYAN PALMER getting all the luck with a poor chip shot on the last that hit the pin when certain to fly well past the hole. The resulting easy birdie putt meant Allenby had to sink an 8ft putt to tie and he missed. In fact we finished 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the overall standings and i really feel hard done by.
Finally the weekend ended on a positive note when we sent the tip out to all subscribers to get on board the NEW YORK JETS to win the Superbowl when they trailed 7-0 against the San Diego Chargers and had blown out to $50 for the big prize. As we stated the Jets were playing well and they came home to win 17-14 and move on to the next round. Their price was also smashed in on Betfair to $9.60 leaving many options open to guarentee a profit on the result.

July 6th – NFL Season Preview
Although the season is still a while away (September) it is worth having a close look at some of the teams for this year and their title chances. Whilst the last few seasons have pretty much followed the script this season is set to be a titanic tussle and any number of teams could make the playoffs and go all the way. Those who have followed me in the passt remember the dream run we had back in 2007 when the NY Giants lifted the trophy much to our delight after backing them during the season for a whopping 100/1 odds. Lets hope we can find some of that again.
I won’t go into too much detail just yet but keep an eye on these teams in the pre season and maybe pick a couple to have a crack at yourself. Rember the rules if you get it to shift in half the price, lay off your bet immediately for the initial investment giving you a free bet. Email me at brad@toppunter.net if you are unfamiliar with this process.
Teams to follow and there odds are:
Jacksonville @ $46, Atlanta @ $32, Denver @ $95 (Very excited about this team in 2009), Minnesota @ $21 and New Orleans @ $26.
I’ll leave the rest in your hands for now. More updates to follow closer to the start of the season.
May 30th – NBA (Loss Total -$300)
The Cav’s never got going against Orlando who seem to be growing in stature every week. They will prove a thorn for the Lakers who seem to have woken from their slumber with Kobe leading the way. (Loss = $300)
May 12th – NBA
The Clevland Cavilliers look to be a domminant force in the NBA finals after destroying the Atlanta Hawks 4-0 with each game recording a win by more than 10 points. the have been crunched in to $2.30 to win the crown this year but with a player like Le Bron in the team that is still good value. $300 to win the championship.
